The Skin Of Ruins (2020) is an online artwork created by Fabien Léaustic, in collaboration with DVTK and the CyberSuper.

This constantly evolving virtual environment changes with each visitor interaction. The future of this universe is uncertain: user interactions may cause this ecosystem to decline and then disappear.

The sound environment's composition that accompanies the user experience mixes electronic and organic sounds, to reinforce both the strangeness and serenity of the virtual landscape, as well as user interactions.

The environment is composed of 6 sound element layers: pur, viscous, powder, metal, furrows and mineral.
