Sheitan Shiatsu Installation
  • performative

Sheitan Shiatsu (2019) is anti-relaxation installation parodying today's dictatorship of well-being.

This interactive yoga experience is designed to be the most uncomfortable. The participant must follow a series of exercises on a yoga mat installed on a spring with sensors controlling a video game: if the player loses his balance, he loses points.

Audio experience is augmented with spring noises and stroboscopic lights to help the yogi relax: the more he moves, the more noise and light flashes.

The goal is to keep a maximum of points and to stay as long as possible in the game while the exercises difficulty increases. Happy relaxing.
