Singing Points (2019) is a minimalist and interactive music system.

Clicking generates a point whose diameter depends on the click duration. Each point emits a wave whose frequency depends on its diameter.
A note is played when a point is touched by a wave and its pitch depends on the diameter of the point.

This interactive musical system has been developed as an installation with physical objets instead of virtual points.

A prototype uses color tracking to detect objects and generate points that can be moved in physical space to play with the installation both as a virtual and physical instrument.

The pursuit of these generative music researches aims to make a sound parameter correspond to a spatial parameter.

Project developed at Design Code Lab in Berlin with Martin Wecke.
